Abstract:

In order to investigate the tobacco leaf appearance quality characteristics and regional differences in different typical ecological areas, the samples of tobacco leaf from 230 experimental sites in 46 counties of 11 typical ecological areas were selected in 2019 to 2021. The tobacco leaves from middle position of plant were evaluated by constructing a ‘calibrated scale’ digital description model. The results showed that there was a significant correlation between flue-cured tobacco appearance quality indices, with obvious differences between different regions. Among them, Wuyi mountain area and Southern Anhui mountain area had higher evaluation scores both in individual and comprehensive indices, followed by Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, Nanling Mountain area, Qinba Mountain area, Northeast China and Central China producing area. The overall quality of Zhongshan of Guizhou, Wuling, Central Shandong and Xuefeng mountainous areas was lower than other areas. Inter annual comparison showed significant differences in individual indicators and comprehensive evaluations between 2019, 2020 and 2021, while there was no significant difference between 2020 and 2021. The sample quality was relatively stable.
