The Status and Sustainable Development of Edible Fungi Industry in Guizhou

Abstract:

The characteristics and advantages of edible fungi industry in Guizhou were analyzed. Results demonstrate that Guizhou possesses more advantages in natural condition, traffic condition and policy condition for the development of edible fungi industry. The edible fungi industry scale in Guizhou has gradually expanded, with the highlight on brand effects. At the same time, the disadvantages of edible fungi industry development in Guizhou are also discussed, such as lacking industry norms, relatively simple product structure and insufficient industry talents. Based on the analysis, suggestions on the sustainable development of edible fungi industry are put forward, including reinforcing the development of edible fungi industry, strengthening the scientific and technological support and talent cultivation, establishing the industry norms under the overall planning of the government, and highlighting the comprehensive development and utilization of fungus residues.
