Integrated Farming Mode of Rice-crayfish: Benefit Analysis and Technical Discussion

The rice-crayfish farming mode is a typical kind of integrated rice-aquatic animal farming mode, which has played an important role in promoting the adjustment of agricultural structure and increasing the compound income of paddy field. On the basis of production and literature research, this paper analyzed the economic, social and ecological benefits of integrated rice-crayfish farming mode, and expounded its main technical problems. Based on the experimental demonstration and production practice, the green and efficient technical specifications for integrated rice-crayfish farming mode were put forward, including rice field selection, field works, preparations, juvenile crayfish releasing, raising management, adult crayfish catching, rice cultivation and field management after rice harvest, for the co-cultured of rice-crayfish during the whole course and catching crayfish only one season from May to June. The purpose of this paper is to provide technical references for the development of integrated rice-crayfish farming mode.
