Abstract:

In order to fully reveal the adaptability of different Sanguisorba plants to the environment, leaves and stems of S. officinalis, S. tenuifolia and S. applanata were comparatively analyzed by paraffin sectioning methods. The results indicated that the leaf morphology of these three Sanguisorba plants showed identity and difference, and their microstructure showed typical characteristics of dicotyledon which upper epidermal cells were larger than the lower epidermal cells. Compared with S. officinalis, S. tenuifolia and S. applanata had significant differences in the thickness of leaf vein, palisade tissue, but there was no significant difference in the length of vascular bundle, the thickness of upper cuticle, lower cuticle and lower epidermal cells. The stem anatomical structure showed that the number of vascular bundle of S. officinalis was more than that of S. tenuifolia and S. applanata, and the area of vascular bundle was shown as S. applanata> S. tenuifolia> S. officinalis. The above results clarified the biological characteristics of Sanguisorba plants, which could provide a theoretical basis for the cultivation and efficient development and utilization of Sanguisorba plants.
