Abstract: Plasmodiophora brassicae is an obligate living parasitic pathogen which infects the root of cruciferous plant. This review briefly introduced the biological characteristics, the harm to plant, the disease detection and control methods for this pathogen, as well as presented the process of pathogen occurrence in soil and its interaction with plant. Moreover, summarized the effects and regulations of soil, including physicochemical factors, root exudates, microorganism in rhizosphere soil and mineral elements, on the occurrence of Plasmodiophora braccicae. This review was to provide theoretical basis for research and development of the disease control methods and to promote the sustainable development of agricultural product.
