Abstract: Sesame seeds of Yuzhi No.of 4 with different water content stored at the state of airproof in the 25℃ and 5℃ respectively, stored for 12 months the vigor and viability of the seeds were measured after the water content was balanced. The main result as follows:Super dry storage affected sesame seed germination, root and shoot growth, plant characters and growth days, and its continued during all the growth stage of sesame; Proper water content of seeds stored could remain the seeds with high vigor, the suitable value for super dry was 3.78% when stored at 25℃ and that was 6.01% at 5℃. Activities of antioxidant enzymes kept well in seeds and content of ultimate product of lipid peroxidation such as the fresh and dry weight of the seeding, the accumlation of dry material, plant height and seeds per ear. The correlation analysis indication that there was a significantly positive correlation between seed vigor and plant height and emerging percentage, and seed vigor had a significantly negative correlation with emerging stage and flowering stage.
