Abstract: Two varieties of typical Japonica-type were grown investigated. In order to study the effect of enhanced UV-B radiation on growth Production of rice .The results showed that enhanced ultraviolet-B radiation slowed down the maize development, decreased rice height, tiller number, total leaf area and production, and enhanced ultraviolet-B radiation caused decreased grain number and available spike is the reason that decreased production. Generally speaking, the level of enhanced UV-B radiation is the most factor, the more enhanced UV-B radiation the worse effect to rice. But the inhibitory rate varied in different cultivars and developmental stages.
