Abstract:

To clarify the high yield and the stability of sweet corn varieties, and the representativeness and the discriminability of the testing sites in Guangdong Province regional test, the yield data of 18 sweet corn varieties of 2018-2019 Guangdong Province regional test were analyzed by GGE-biplot (genotype main effect plus genotype-environment interaction). The results showed that ‘Yuetian 33’, ‘Zhetian 808 ’and ‘Xinmeitian 816’ in the test of 2018 were in the first three places in terms of high yield and stable yield. In the test of 2019, ‘Yuetian 33’, ‘Huameitian 468 ’and ‘Xinmeitian 816’ were in the first three places in terms of high yield, and ‘Yuetian 33’, ‘Yuetian 16’ and ‘Zhengtian 89’ had the best stability. ‘Yuetian 33’ had the best comprehensive performance, stability and adaptability in the two years’ test. There is a positive correlation among all test environments, indicating that they have good representativeness. A close positive correlation is found between some of the test environments, Guangzhou and Yingde ecological zones are the most ideal sites for 2018 and 2019, respectively, which have good environmental representativeness and discriminability for sweet corn varieties.
