Abstract:

Based on the monthly MODIS-NDVI remote sensing data from 2010 to 2014, this paper took Burqin County of Xinjiang as the research area and grasped the temporal and spatial differentiation of the normalized vegetation index (NDVI) of four seasons in Burqin County. The trend analysis method was used to analyze the temporal dynamic characteristics and spatial change trends of NDVI in Burqin County in the five years, and quantitatively discuss the temporal and spatial evolution of NDVI in the study area. The results showed that: (1) the time series of NDVI in Burqin County from 2010 to 2014 presented a downward trend, and the magnitude order of NDVI in different seasons was summer>autumn>spring>winter; (2) the variation of NDVI in the same season of different years was generally small, while the inter-annual variation characteristics of NDVI in different seasons were significant; among them, the variation characteristics in spring were significant, while the spatial distribution change in summer was not obvious and its variation was relatively stable; (3) during the five years, the average annual NDVI change trend in summer in Burqin County gradually increased; in spring, the NDVI change trend decreased, and the vegetation index gradually decreased; in autumn, the NDVI change trend increased while the plant distribution decreased in the north of the county; in winter, the NDVI change trend decreased. This study analyzes the temporal and spatial distribution and evolution of vegetation coverage in Burqin County, aiming to provide certain scientific reference for regional protection of the ecological environment.
