Advances of Detection Techniques for Fruit Tree Viruses Based on Nucleic Acids

Abstract: Detection techniques based on nucleic acid for plant viruses, including of PCR, molecular hybridization, dsRNA, NASBA and DNA chip, were developed rapidly. The principle, characteristics and applications of these techniques in detection of fruit tree viruses are reviewed. At present, the detection methods based on PCR are the main methods for fruit tree viruses, and many fruit tree viruses have been detected by PCR. NASBA is applied to the detection of fruit tree virus recently.
