Abstract: Perennial crops that life cycle is year after year are many years of growth, which aerial parts are withered in winter, and the coming year is to continue growth, flowering and fruiting. Perennial crops have an important role to maintain and improve the agricultural ecosystem as well as increasing food production. This paper described the advantages of perennial crops in agricultural production, discussed the use value of perennial crops in the agro-ecological environment, and summarized the creating ways of perennial crops. At last, the future of perennial crops was prospected.
