Precise Comprehensive Agricultural Climate Regional of Nectarine in Sichuan Province Based on GIS

Abstract: Fundamental requirements, sunshine, temperature and precipitation, were considered to analyze the factors limiting the growth and development of nectarine. Based on the previous research, several indexes were chosen for climatic suitability division, including annual mean temperature, number of days when daily mean temperature was below 6℃ in winter, mean temperature from April to May, mean temperature in June, rain days from late May to middle June, sunshine hours from March to June, and accumulated precipitation from April to October. The spatial distribution models for each index were built by mathematical statistics methods. Meteorological data from 150 stations were used in these models to analyze the spatial distribution of each index in Sichuan province on GIS platform. With decision-tree method, the whole region could be divided into three climatic suitability divisions for nectarine growth, as the most suitable areas, the suitable areas and the unsuitable areas.
