Abstract: Through plate-method, 18 antagonistic bacteria strains against Phyllosticta citriasiana were isolated from 19 samples collected from the orchard of Guanxi honey pomelo in Pinghe, Zhangzhou, Fujian Province. Results showed that strain BC12 had the highest antagonistic activity with the inhibition rate of 55.84%. The strain BC12 exhibited extensive antagonistic effect on 3 other honey pomelo pathogens, Sphaceloma fawcetti, Colletotrichum gleosporioides and Mycosphaerella cirri. Based on 16S rDNA sequence homology, physiological and biochemical characteristics and morphological observation, the strain was identified as Bacillus pumilus.
