Function, Assessment, Management and Conservation of Agrobiodiversity in the Context of Sustainable Agriculture

Abstract:

Agrobiodiversity is an important component of biodiversity and is an important guarantee for food security, agricultural ecosystem security and sustainable agricultural development. China possesses extremely rich agrobiodiversity and has achieved remarkable results in its research and conservation. This paper summarized the functions, evaluation methods, influencing factors, networking management and conservation methods of agrobiodiversity, expounded the necessity of agrobiodiversity conservation, reviewed the policies, regulations and progress of agrobiodiversity conservation in China, and highlighted challenges and deficiencies in agrobiodiversity. In terms of challenges in agrobiodiversity, the reasonable suggestions are proposed for the improvement of agrobiodiversity and sustainable development in China.
