Counter-measures of Drought Physiology Response in Plant

Abstract: Drought is one of the most important factors affecting plant growth. Strategies of plant drought response have always been a hot spot in drought tolerance physiology research. This paper reviewed the plant response mechanism under drought stress involving transcriptional regulation of drought resistant gene, osmotic adjustment, reactive oxygen species scavenging, protect enzymes and morphological structures. Some advices for further studies on plant drought tolerance were provided, combining the transcriptomics and proteomics methods to investigate the mechanism of plant drought resistance, and strengthen the research on the effect of the complex stress of drought and other environmental factors on plant growth and development.
