Abstract: Zamioculcas zamiifolia that belongs to the family Araceae according to the taxonomists is a unique interior ornamental foliage plant with large compound leaves and big tubers under the ground. ZZ plant has strong tolerance to the drought stress and adaptability to low light. It is propagated mainly by the cuttings of leaf and petiole. The tissue culture system in vitro has been established from the leaf. As the plant’s potential in the production and market, more and more researches including taxonomy, plant physiology, and the technology of propagation and cultivation focus on the plant. The research advance of Zamioculcas Zamiifolia in the last years has been reviewed and the research works in the future also been discussed in the paper.
