Abstract: For discussing on the optimizing composition of original orchids pollen germination mediums in Hainan Province, and testing their pollen viability, several liquid mediums were designed for pollen germination experimentation of Cymbidium sinense which was original in Hainan Province. The experimentation indicated that Cymbidium sinense pollen original in Hainan Province readily germinated in artificial liquid mediums in the experiments with long pollen tubes. The average germination percentages of seven treatments up to 78% except the contrast treatment. It was 83.99% on liquid medium containing 10% sucrose, 20mg/L boric acid and 5 mg/L calcium chloride with optimizing result. For simple principle, it will be used for identifying Hainan Cymbidium sinense pollen viability in future.
