From 1963 to now, the agricultural science and technology exchanges and cooperation between China and Kenya has experienced a transition from unidirectional free aid to mutually beneficial cooperation, and many achievements have been made in aspects of the introduction and promotion of Chinese excellent agricultural crops and export of cultivation management technology systems, scientific cooperation research, agricultural science and technology talent training, biodiversity conservation, and expansion of agricultural products markets, with four major contents of agricultural science and technology cooperation demonstration and germplasm resources utilization, China"s agricultural high-tech popularization in Kenya, short-term technical training courses setting in agriculture, and agricultural talent cultivation with high degree, through high-level government visits, China-Africa Agricultural Cooperation Forum, agricultural investment and seminars, experts and international students exchange, universities and scientific research institutions support and other ways. However, it still face many challenges of insufficient preliminary researches and investment, limited paths, contents and effectiveness, as well as language, cultural and history issues, China and Kenya need to cope with that by initiating long-term planning programme, establishing high-level coordination mechanisms, strengthening basic investigation, expanding cooperation channels and contents, increasing agricultural investment, improving fiscal and taxation support systems, and continuing to attach importance to personnel training and persisting in green cooperation and sustainable development.
