The Research Advance on Strawberry Root Rot

Abstract

Abstract: Strawberry root rot is one of the most important root diseases on strawberry, especially in continuous cropping fields. The whole strawberry garden could be destroyed if the root rot is serious. The current situation of this disease is rising every year. It has become one of the main obstacles of strawberry production. Strawberry root rot was very hard to control because more than 20 kinds of pathogens were reported as causing agents. The following aspects were included in the paper: characteristics, the happening and the damage, pathogens, symptoms and control methods. The control measures in use including chemical, physical, agricultural and biological methods were introduced separately. Preview on ecological aspects for the disease control was given at the end of this article.
