Abstract:

Rosa odorata var. erubescens is the famous ancient climbing rose. It is found that R. odorata var. erubescens in Shanghai has good adaptability through early introduction. For further development and utilization, the aromaticity is mainly studied in this research. Stir Bar Sorptive Extraction-Thermal Desorption (SBSE-TD) combined with Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometer(GC-MS) was used to extract and analyze the aroma components of fresh flower. It is concluded through components analysis that the main aroma component is 3,5-dimethoxytoluene, and then 3-hexenyl acetate, caryophyllene, geraniol. The aroma type is tea scent type represented by 3,5-dimethoxytoluene, with faint scent note. Meanwhile, 3,5-dimethoxytoluene has unique calming effect. R. odorata var. erubescens has a broad application prospect in the construction of ornamental garden and health care garden.
