Empirical Analysis of Farmland Change in Farming-pastoral Interlaced Region

Abstract: Farmland change is essential to the agricultural modernization and national food security and has aroused a wide concern. This paper, based on spot check data of 404 farmers in Yanchi and Tongxing county where located in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, analyzes features of farmland use change in farming-pastoral interlaced region, applies logistic model to analysis the influencing factors of cultivated land use change. The results showed that the farmland area were much difference in peasant family. In recent 30 years, the farmland areas per person has decreased by 0.23 hm2 in study area. Meanwhile, crop planting structure has changed which caused by farmland water conservancy works and government policies. Households with the rate of farm labors was family populations, policy factors and the income of non-agriculture, were more likely to farmland area change, its the main factors for peasant family"s farmland area change.
