Bibliometrics Research Status of Piriformospora indica

Abstract:

To further clarify the global status and research hotspots of Piriformospora indica, based on the Science Citation Expanded (SCIE) database of Web of Science platform, the bibliometric analysis of SCI literature in P. indica field from 2008 to 2018 is carried out, and the research focus and future development trend in this field are discussed. The results show that there are 392 papers about P. indica in 2008-2018, the literature output is on the rise, and the highest number is in 2017; Germany, India, the United States, China and Iran are the top 5 in the world in terms of papers’ number, of which Germany has the largest number of 118; Giessen University and Jena University are the top 2 research institutes in the world in terms of publications; the most influential core author comes from India; the main core journals are SYMBIOSIS, MOLECULAR PLANT MICROBE INTERACTIONS and NEW PHYTOLOGIST; the main disciplines are plant science, microbiology and biotechnology. Overall, Germany and India are in the dominant position in research field of P. indica, in which China is still on the initial stage, scholars should pay more attention to this field.
