Abstract:

To provide diversified analysis methods for screening and evaluating new wheat varieties (lines) with high yield and quality, the gray relational degree analysis, cluster analysis and correlation analysis were used to evaluate agronomic traits, yields and qualities of 16 wheat varieties (lines) from the test in the southern Huang-Huai region. The results showed that the varieties’ (lines) ranking based on gray relational degree analysis was consistent with the yield ranking. The growth period, plumpness and plant height had the highest correlation degree with standard series and the relationship was the closest. The correlation analysis showed that 1000-grain weight was an important index related to both yield and quality. Combining gray relational degree analysis results with cluster analysis results, three new high yield and quality wheat varieties (lines) (‘Lunxuan146’, ‘Anmai1350’ and ‘Yuanfeng12’, respectively) were screened. The two methods could be used to analyze wheat varieties (lines) accurately and completely, and provide diversity analysis methods for breeding high yield and quality wheat.
