Abstract:

The aim is to select differentially expressed proteins in oviducts of Chinese Brown frog (OR) and Bufo gargarizans (OBG), and then to find the relationship between these differentially expressed proteins and growth environment, hibernation as well as developments. The proteomics database of OR and OBG were established using iTRAQ technology combined with MS. By comparing the two proteomics database, GO annotation and bioinformatics analysis was conducted for the selected proteins. The results showed that there were 68 differential proteins, including 61 up-regulated proteins and 7 down-regulated proteins. In OR, 7 high expressed proteins were divided into 5 categories, mucins (PREDICTED: mucin-5AC-like, PREDICTED: similar to mucin, mCG142254, partial), collagen alpha-1(III) chain, PREDICTED: a-kinase anchor protein 13-like, PREDICTED: IgGFc-binding protein-like, and annexin A1, which mainly participated in immunomodulation and development. At same time, antifreeze ingredients were mainly mucins in OR, however which were lectin in OBG. 7 high expressed proteins were important proteins in OR, which could be used to distinguish OBG from OR. Exceptional swelling capacity of OR was closely related to a large amount of mucins.

Key words: oviductus ranae (OR), oviducts of Bufo gargarizans (OBG), differentially expressed proteins, isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantitation (iTRAQ)
