Abstract:

The paper aims to solve the problem of cutting rooting of Vernicia fordii. The effects of different concentrations of exogenous hormones, pattern of left leaves and age of maternal plant on the rooting of cuttings of V. fordii were studied by taking the 1 to 3-year-old maternal plant as the experimental material, and the rooting mechanism was explored by anatomical observation. The results showed that the best rooting effect was taking the 1-year-old maternal plant as the experimental material, leaving half leaf and 2 h of 1.5 g/L IBA treatment, under which the rooting rate could reach 56.67%. The rooting method of V. fordii was single skin root. The adventitious root primordium of V. fordii belonged to the inducible primordium, which was derived from the parenchyma cells of the cortex.

Key words: Vernicia fordii, cuttage seedling, adventitious root, anatomical structure, rooting rate
