Abstract:

To explore the effect of sowing date on the growth and development process and yield of different rice varieties in the saline-alkali environment of northern Jiangsu, this experiment adopted the field test to investigate and compare the growth periods, dry matter accumulation, plant high, yield and other traits of ‘Nanjing 9108’ and ‘Lianjing 11’ under different sowing dates. The results showed that: with the delay of sowing date, the growth period of ‘Nanjing 9108’ and ‘Lianjing 11’ became shorter; the dry matter accumulation at the jointing stage, full heading stage and maturity stage of ‘Nanjing 9108’ showed a decreasing trend, and ‘Lianjing 11’ showed an upward trend and then a downward trend. The effect of sowing date on the plant height of ‘Lianjing 11’ was significantly different, and the plant height showed a downward trend with the delay of sowing date. The postponing of the sowing date of ‘Nanjing 9108’ and ‘Lianjing 11’ decreased the panicle number, grains per panicle and yield. The best sowing date of ‘Nanjing 9108’ in the saline-alkali environment of northern Jiangsu is May 24, and that of ‘Lianjing 11’ is May 31.
