Abstract:

Through comprehensive evaluation of multiple traits of processing tomato varieties, the study aims to provide technical support for identification and screening of excellent germplasm resources. 9 processing tomato varieties (lines) were selected for variety comparison test, and 13 agronomic traits were analyzed and determined. The principal component analysis and cluster analysis (PCA-CA) were used to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the main agronomic traits of processing tomato varieties. The average coefficient of variation of 13 agronomic traits was 10.23%. By principal component analysis, 13 agronomic traits could be divided into 3 main indexes: fruit appearance quality factor, fruit yield factor and fruit intrinsic quality factor, which could accurately evaluate processing tomato varieties. Plant height, weight of single fruit, longitudinal diameter, transverse diameter, average yield, soluble solid content, lycopene content and total acid content were the main traits. ‘T60’ and ‘Xinfan 15’ ranked the first and second on comprehensive scores. Cluster analysis of the 9 processing tomato varieties was carried out by group-average method, and the varieties could be divided into 5 groups. The comprehensive evaluation system established in this study can provide reference for breeding high-quality processing tomato varieties.
