  Infection and Precaution of Classical Swine Fever Virus in Henan Province Wang Laoqi, Tao Haijing 2007, 23 (1):  1-001.  Abstract + ( 1412 )   PDF ( 661270KB )   ( 571 ) [Objective] Understanding the Epidemiology regulation of the Classical swine fever in Henan, studying infection circumstance of Classical swine fever virus, checking thoroughly immunization about Vaccine of Classical Swine fever virus. [Methods] 301 specimen are detected by ELISA kit for CSFV antigen, at the same time, we smeared, dyed and looked at bacterium and found out mixed infection about bacterium and CSFV. We took integrate control measures to CSFV antigen positive hogpens and tracked the administration；and investigated mixed infection with Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome （PRRS）and Porcine circovirus Ⅱ（PCV2）in the hogpens. [Results] CSF is widely in Henan, the CSFV average detectable rate is 26.25%. Bacterium infection ratio is twenty-five point three one in all the CSFV antigen positive hogpens. The comprehensive measures is effective to treat CSF. [Conclusion] The comprehensive measures is very important for purifying CSFV, but bacteria, PRRSV and PCV-Ⅱmixing infection with CSFV in pigs is main reason that purifying CSFV is different.

  In Silico Cloning and Characterization of Mastitis Resistant Gene Znf313 from Dairy Cows Cao Suizhong, , , Li Hongbin, Yao Xueping, Zhao Xingxu, Du Lixin 2007, 23 (1):  6-006.  Abstract + ( 1413 )   PDF ( 122066KB )   ( 700 ) In silico cloning was a new strategy of gene cloning developed with the development of genome, EST projects and bio-informatics. Using one differentially expressed EST in peripheral blood leukocytes of Holstein cows with mastitis as a querying probe, a novel cDNA sequence was obtained from bovine EST database of GenBank, which was named bovine zinc finger protein 313(Znf313) gene. The sequence of in silico cloning was verified by RT-PCR, and inserted into pGEM-T vector for sequencing. The bovine Znf313 gene cDNA contains a 693bp open reading frame, encoding 230aa protein, putative protein molecular weight is 25.67kD, isoelectric point is 6.90. The sequence has been submitted to GenBank with the accession number DQ010409.

  The study on the Forelimb Bone of Alpaca(lama pacos) You Rong li, Dong Chang sheng, He xiao yan, Geng jiangjun ,He Junping 2007, 23 (1):  14-014.  Abstract + ( 2043 )   PDF ( 284206KB )   ( 575 ) The forelimb bone of alpaca were studied by the method of gross anatomy, the comparative study with the forelimb of camel, equine, bovine, ovine, and swine were done at the same time. The result shows that the alpaca forelimb consists of scapula, humeri, 0ssa antebrachii(radius, ulna),0ssa Carpi,0s metacarpale,0ssa digiforum mamus. The composing and structure of alpaca are same to the bone of camel and similar with the bone of bovine, ovine, and swine in some degree. The alpaca scapula, and 0s metacarpale, 0ssa digiforum mamus were similar with the scapula of bovine. The humeri, 0ssa antebrachii(radius, ulna)were similar to the bone of equine. From above depicting and comparison, we concluded that the forelimb of alpaca were same with the forelimb of camel but smaller in form, were similar with the forelimb bone of equine, bovine, and ovine, were different to the bone of swine.

  Evaluation Therapeutic Efficacy of Toltrazuril against Isospora suis in Piglets Yan Wenchao, Ning Changshen, Zhang Longxian, Jian Fuchun, Liu Guanghui, He Guifen 2007, 23 (1):  18-018.  Abstract + ( 1633 )   PDF ( 143360KB )   ( 603 ) The assays of therapeutic efficacy of Toltrazuril against I. suis in 7-day-old piglets were conducted. Its efficacy was evaluated by reduction of diarrhea, decrease of oocysts production and mortality, improving body weight gain and so on. The results revealed that I. suis was negative in the faeces of piglets treated with Toltrazuril (groupⅠand Ⅱ) 3 days and 4 days after treated with Toltrazuril, respectively. While I. suis still was positive in that of piglets untreated with drugs beyond one week. Diarrhea disappeared in groupⅠand Ⅱ 5 days and 6 days after treated with Toltrazuril, respectively. It was significant that difference of body weight gain between piglets treated with Toltrazuril in groupⅠand Ⅱ(65.1% and 61.9%,respectilvely) and piglets untreated in group Ⅲ. In addition, Toltrazuril can significantly decrease mortality and remarkably improve appetite of piglets. It concluded that Toltrazuril was effective evidently against I. suis.

  Study on Body Shape of Pure Dehong Buffalo, Dehong×Ni-li Buffalo and Dehong×Murrah Buffalo on Pasture System Wang Xiaohua , Huang Qichao, Shao Junhua, Ge Changrong, Tang Shoukun 2007, 23 (1):  21-021.  Abstract + ( 1239 )   PDF ( 127689KB )   ( 691 ) The objective of this study was to determine the body shape of 5 pure Dehong buffalo(D), 5 Dehong×Ni-li buffalo(ND) and 5 Dehong×murrah buffalo(MD) at the age of 35.8±0.4 months on pasture system. Compared with D buffalo, the withers height, hip croop height, hucklebone width of ND buffalo respectively increase 5.5%, 7.4%, 9%, the withers height, hip croop height, hucklebone width of MD buffalo respectively increase 5.9%, 8.0%, 11.9%. The shank length index of MD buffalo was higher than that of D buffalo. This experiment showed that crossbreeding have effect on improved the body shape of pure Dehong buffalo.

CLA has a wide range of healthpromotion potential, including antitumor, antiatherogenic, antidiabetogenic, a reduction in body fat mass, and an increase in immune modulating properties and in growth. This paper gives a review on the role of conjugated linoleic acid on pigs immunomodulatory mechanism. It provides a academic foundation for further exploitation and utilization of CLA.

  Rapid Establishment of Embryogenic Cell Suspensions and Plant Regeneration via Somatic Embryogenesis in Litchi Lai Zhongxiong, Huang Qian, Lin xiulian, Lin Yuling, Chen Yiting, Lai Chenchun, Cai Yingqing 2007, 23 (1):  28-028.  Abstract + ( 1753 )   PDF ( 275799KB )   ( 628 ) The friable embryogenic callus with small grains and without proembryo formation was screened in the process of continuous subcultures for 4~6 times on the medium with low content of sucrose from embryogenic cultures induced from immature embryos in litchi (Litchi chinensis Soon.). The well-scattered embryogenic cell suspensions could be rapidly established from the friable embryogenic callus in 2 liquid initial MS media respectively supplemented with 2,4-D 2 mg/L or 2,4-D 2 mg/L, KT1 mg/L and AgNO3 5 mg/L shaking at 100~120 r/min within 10-14 days. Long-term maintenance of the embryogenic cell suspensions was achieved via alternative cultures in the 2 revised initial medium only with half-strength of phytohormones or through the method of periodical in-turn liquid-solid culture. The embryogenic suspension cells formed somatic embryos at the frequency of over 10,000 embryoids/g FW on the solid MS medium amended with NAA 0.1 mg/L, KT or Ze 5 mg/L, sucrose 50 g/L, agar 10g/L and myo-inositol 100 mg/L within 25~40 days. Normal somatic embryos were converted into plantlets by over 75% after maturation.

In acid and alkali soil, there are mainly indissoluble bivalent or trivalent phosphates, which cannot be utilized by plants. The molecular mechanism which the plant strongly utilizes the soil phosphorus is excreting more organic acid by altering organic acid metabolic pathway. This paper will make a brief summary on genetic engineering in the over-expression of citrate synthase and malate dehydrogenase in transgenic plants to improve the utilization of insoluble phosphorus.

  Cloning, Expression in E.coli of Coat Protein Gene of Sweet Potato Virus G and Preparation of Its Antiserum Fu Zhenyan, Zhang Zhenchen 2007, 23 (1):  38-038.  Abstract + ( 1436 )   PDF ( 183600KB )   ( 813 ) According to published nucleotide sequence, coat protein (CP) gene of sweet potato virus G(SPVG) isolated from Henan province was cloned and sequenced. The results of sequence analysis showed that the CP gene consisted of 1065 nt encoding 355 amino acid residues. The CP gene nucleotide sequence were about 98% identical to Egypt1(AJ515380), LSU-1(AY178991), LSU-3(AY178990) and SPVG-CH（X76944）isolates, respectively, and were 85.5% identical to SPVG-CH2（Z83314）isolated from Guangdong province. The CP gene was constructed into expression vector pET30a（+）for overexpression in prokaryotic cells. The result of SDS-PAGE showed that about 39 kDa specific fusion protein was produced after induction by IPTG. The expressed protein was purified from SDS-PAGE and the antiserum against the protein was raised in rabbit. The antiserum was used for specific detection of SPVG from field samples of sweet potato by ACP-ELISA.

It had been widely used in the research of animal and plant for genetic improvement, functional genome and gene therapy;【Method】RNAi is a post-transcriptional gene-silencing phenomenon induced by double-stranded RNA.【Results】In this paper, the mechanism of RNA interference, the interaction of RNA interference and plant virus and the construction of RNAi expression vector were reviewed;【Conclusion】With further study on it, RNAi will become a powerful skill in plant anti-virus breeding.

These strategies include host-gene-mediated resistance strategies and pathogen-derived resistance strategies, which include viral coat protein gene, movement protein gene, replicase gene, satellite RNA, antisense RNA, and defective interfering RNA. In addition, antibody gene, ribozyme and in terferon also have the ability to confer resistance against plant viruses. Meanwhile, resistance mechanisms and the perspective of application of each strategy were briefly discussed.

  Synthesis and Characterization of Chitosan-Ferric Complex Sun Lanping, Xu Hui, Zhao Daqing, Zhang bin 2007, 23 (1):  53-053.  Abstract + ( 1368 )   PDF ( 246207KB )   ( 960 ) 【OBJECTIVE】In order to enhance biologic activity of chitosan and to look for suitable supplement ferric dosage, chitosan-ferric complex was synthesized through the homogeneous reactions; 【METHOD】Their composition and structures were characterized by elementary analysis, UV spectra and IR spectra; 【RESULTS】It was found that the coordination was realized through binding of in chitosan with Fe3+ in the chitosan-ferric complex. The optimizing coordination condition of chitosan-ferric complex that the reaction was carried out under stirring at 25℃ and pH=1.8 for 8h. The adsorption isotherm and adsorption kinetics of chitosan for ferric ions were investigated and results were satisfied with the Langmuir-single-molecule-layer adsorption mechanism. The apparent adsorption velocity constant b is 4.969J/mg and the saturated adsorption capacity Q is 62.89mg/g at 298.15K. The UV spectra of the chitosan-ferric complex showed that new absorptive peaks appeared and the IR spectra of the chitosan-ferric complex showed that part of the characteristic adsorptive peaks of chitosan displaced. The spectral analysis indicated that the complex reactions took place mainly between the amino group(-NH2), the hydroxyl group(-OH), part of the acetylamino(-CONH2) of chitosan and Fe3+; 【CONCLUSION】It was hopeful to make pharmaceutical which people have chitosan-ferric complex to taken full advantage of from it, and chitosan-ferric complex become a kind of popular medicines with health protection.

An optimal PCR system for RAPD in fruit flies has been found: in 25μl reaction solution, contained 80ng DNA template, 2.0mMMg2+, 0.2 mMdNTP, 0.5μMprimers, 1U Taq polymerase.The amplification program was devised: 94℃ for 3min; denaturing at 94℃ for 45sec, primer annealing at 36℃ for 1min, extension at 72℃ for 2min, 40cyclesm, at last extension at 72℃ for 10min.

  Study on Genetic Diversity of Black Rice Based on SSR Markers Cui Haili, Xia Chuntang, Zhao Zesheng 2007, 23 (1):  63-063.  Abstract + ( 1403 )   PDF ( 249795KB )   ( 664 ) Black rice is a precious species of rice. Genetic diversity of black rice is a basic part of the research in breeding, origin and evolvement of black rice. 24 pairs of SSR primers were used to study genetic diversity among 29 black rice varieties coming from 6 provinces or city in China. The result showed that：76 polymorphic loci were detected by 24 pairs of SSR primers；The Average allelic richness of polymorphic loci, Index of genetic diversity and index of Shannon were 3.17, 0.5287 and 0.9058. The genetic similarity coefficients among all black rice varieties ranged from 0.0833 to 0.9583. This indicated that there was sufficient genetic diversity among the black rice varieties. Cluster analysis was made with unweighted pair group method for arithmetic averages (UPGMA) using genetic similarity coefficients. The 29 materials were clustered into 3 groups(Fig.2). The dendrogram revealed that the cluster pattern showed some correlation with the growth locations of the rice varieties.

Researchs on Plant allelopathy are just beginning, which rest on the authentication of main allelochemical by chemic or biologic means. It is necessary for us to study farther on acting mode and application of allelopathy. This article reviewed on the definiens of allelopathy, allelochemical categories and interactants of them. Acting modes of the allelochemicals were discussed. The use of allelopathy and allelochemicals of plants to agriculture production was introduced. The existing problems and direction in the study on plants allelopathy were advanced in the end.

  Effect of Different Ratio of Cake Fertilizer and Inorganic Fertilizer on Free-amino Acids in Burley Leaves Jing Yanqiu, Wei Yuewei, Gao Yuzhen, Wang Weifeng Yang Chunlei Huang Xiaoshu Gong Changrong 2007, 23 (1):  73-073.  Abstract + ( 1407 )   PDF ( 229031KB )   ( 614 ) A Reversed-Phase High Performance Liquid Chromatographic method was developed for determining free Amino Acids in Burley Tobacco. The test was done by using OPA/3-mercaptopropionic Acid as the pre-column derivatising reagent. Chromatographic column was Elitte C18 column (4.6mm×250mm i.d., 5um). Mobile phase A was 18mol/l NaAc (pH7.2) including 0.002%(v/v) triethylamine and 0.3%(v/v) furanidine. Mobile phase B was 100 mol/l NaAc (pH7.2) -Acetonitrile-methanol (v/v=1:2:2). The column temperature was 40℃ and the flow rate was 1.0ml/min. The fluorescence detector was used with 350nm excitation wave length and 450nm emission wave length. The average recoveries of the method ranged 95.3% to 100.7% with the relative standard deviation of 2.32%~9.24%. The method is simple, accurate and has good repeatability. The results of the determination of seventeen kinds of free Amino Acids in burley leaves which were produced by way of different ratio of cake fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer. The results show that Aspartic acid has the highest content however ratio of cake fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer. The contents most of free Amino Acids are increased and then gradually decreased with the increase of organic manure. The contents most of free Amino Acids are very close at 15%: 85% ratio and 30%:70%ratio of cake fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer. The total amount of free Amino Acids is the highest at 30%: 70% ratio of cake fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer. Considering comprehensively, the quality of burley leaves is the best at 30%: 70%ratio of cake fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer.

  The Physiological and Ecological Effect of Light Quality on Morphogenesis and Fruit Quality Zhang Weihui, Zhang Guanglun 2007, 23 (1):  78-078.  Abstract + ( 1629 )   Light quality is the major ecological factor which has important influence to the morphogenesis of fruit tree and the formation of fruit quality．Morphogenesis is the basis of the formation of fruit quality．The research reviewed the effect of light quality on the morphogenesis of leaf, stem, root and floral bud differentiation and the regulative action of photoreceptor and hormone in the course; and summarized the action of fruit size, fruit form index, soluble solid, vitamin C, color and the mechanism of membrane permeability, synthesis of pigment with light quality. The will make for investigated the optimal light quality between morphogenesis of fruit tree and fruit quality. Thus, we put forward the key points for further research.

  Correlation Analysis between Physiological Characteristics and Chilling Injury index of Watermelon Seeding under Cold-stress Duan Huijun, Li Xihuan, Wu Liqiang, Mu Guojun, Fan Ying 2007, 23 (1):  84-084.  Abstract + ( 1466 )   PDF ( 241008KB )   ( 700 ) The chilling injury index and physiological characteristics of watermelon from Hebei province under different low temperature were studied. The result showed that the chilling injury index differences were obvious among the varieties. The highest one was Chongchaxiongfeng and the lowest was Jingxinwang among chilling injury index of varieties. With the decrease of temperature the activity of Superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD) and malondialdehyde (MDA) content were gradually increased. Activity of SOD at 8℃ had high significant positive correlation with the cold-tolerance of the varieties. MDA content had high significant negative correlation with the cold-tolerance of the varieties at 8℃, 15℃ and 25℃.

  Study on the Antagonism of Trichoderma Species on Verticillium Dahliae Meng Na, Tang Bin , Ou Yangming, Wang Lanlan, Liu Haitao 2007, 23 (1):  88-088.  Abstract + ( 1445 )   PDF ( 148722KB )   ( 648 ) Four Trichoderma species, Trichoderma viride, Trichoderma koningii and two unidentified Trichoderma species, in dual culture with Verticillium dahliae were studied and the non-volatile antibiotics which inhibited the dry weight of mycelium Verticillium dahliae were tested. The inhibitory activity against Verticillium dahliae was also studied based on their dual culture and secondary metabolites.The results showed that four species of Trichoderma spp.could significantly inhibit in the dual culture. The non-volatile antibiotics inhibited very strong the growth of Verticillium dahliae. The dry weight of mycelium was evidently less than that of the control and the non-volatile antibiotics were not sensitive to the heating. The light microscopy (LM) investigations showed that Trichoderma species appeared to inhibit pathogens by mycoparasitism, with evidence of either parallel or waved growth, and led to hyphal cell cytoplasm concentration and disruption. The experiment evidence was provided for looking for effective biocontrol on Trichoderma species and Verticillium dahliae.

  Effects of the Chitosan on the Sprouting of the Dichondra repens Forst. Seeds and the Activities of Resistance Associated Enzyme from Seedling Yan Han, Chen Xiao hui, Liu Hong wei, Tian Zhi hong 2007, 23 (1):  92-092.  Abstract + ( 1709 )   PDF ( 159776KB )   ( 767 ) In order to increase germination ratio of the seeds, enhance stress-resistance of seedling, accelerate popularization of variety, improve quality of turf, this experiment adopted chitosan of different concentrations to deal with the Dichondra repens Forst. seeds and carried out the sprouting and planting test. The test investigated the germination ratio of seed, plant height, fresh weight of shoot, fresh weight of root, root length and ratio of root to shoot. At the same time, the activities of PAL, SOD, POD and PPO of seedling from different stages (7d, 14d, 21d) were measured. The results showed that the chitosan of other concentrations promoted evidently the seed germination and seedling growth with the exception of 0.8 g/L in germination, and with the increasing of concentration, the activities of four enzymes all increased. The concentration of 0.5g / L was the best. With the furthering concentration, the inhibitive effect appeared. The experiment indicated that the seeds were soaked in chitosan of feasible concentration, the germination ratio of the seeds, the growing state and the stress-resistance of the seedlings could be improved and the turf establishment time could be shorted.

  Effect of Light Quality on Leaf Lettuce Photosynthesis and Chlorophyll Fluorescence Xu Li, Liu Shi qi, Qi Lian dong, Liang Qing ling ,Yu Wen yan 2007, 23 (1):  96-096.  Abstract + ( 2033 )   PDF ( 211008KB )   ( 1071 ) This study discussed the effects of different light quality (white light, red light, yellow light and blue light) on Photosynthesis and chlorophyll fluorescence of leaf lettuce. The results showed that contents of Chla and Chla/Chlb value under different light qualities were obviously different; The net photosynthetic rate (Pn) and carboxylation efficiency (CE) were strongly affected by different light qualities, Pn value was highest under red light, then was yellow light, but CE value was highest under yellow light, then was red light. Values of ΦPSII, ETR ,qP, NPQ were highest under yellow light ,then the rank was red light ,and the value of Fv/Fm were highest under red light ,then the yellow light, blue light . In conclusion, yellow light was the best for the growth of leaf lettuce.

  Effect of Low Temperature Stress on Proline Content and Membrane Permeability in Three Kind Cold-season Turfgrass 2007, 23 (1):  101-101.  Abstract + ( 1545 )   PDF ( 184721KB )   ( 847 ) In this paper, three varieties of turfgrass, Cindy, Merit and Blue chip, were stressed under 5℃, -5℃ and -10℃, respectively, and their membrane permeability of the leaves were measured by conductivity, and the proline concentration of their leaves were determined by ninhydrin colorimetric method, aimed at searching law of membrane permeability and proline concentration change under chilling stress. The results showed that three kinds of low temperature exposure, the proline content in three varieties of turfgrass increased at significance level. As the turfgrass exposed under 5℃ and -10℃, the increase of proline content in Cindy was highest, and that in Merit and Blue chip were nearly equal. As the turfgrass stressed under -5℃, the increment of proline content in Blue chip was > in Cindy > in Merit, but no significant difference was in that of them. The proline increment under -10℃ was significantly less than that under -5℃, and was nearly equal to that under 5℃. The membrane permeability of the turfgrass also increased, which increment showed that of Cindy

Compared with normal water treatment, the number and the area of macro-vascular bundle and small-vascular bundle of rachis and the diameter of vessel and the area of phloem decreased under moderate water deficit, while it decreased obviously under the severe water deficit. It showed that the vascular bundle system of rachis in wheat changed apparently under water deficit.

The results showed that there are different in main quality characters of wheat grain under different varieties and different water conditions. Crude protein content, wet gluten content and sedimentation decreased under water stress，however, swelling power increased. In different types of gluten wheat, there are significantly positive related among crude protein content, wet gluten content and sedimentation. It is proposed that the influence of water factors on grain quality traits was overall asynchronous, and thus should be carefully consider in undertaking breeding programs and cultivating regulations for wheat quality improvement.

Mycorrhizal plants can absorb more nutrient than non-mycorrhizal ones, and translate less Na to shoots, protecting plants from the excessive accumulation of Na. Mean concentrations of Zn and Cu in shoots change weakly with inoculation mycorrhizal fungi, but concentration of Mn descends. Plant biomass and nutrient content for mycorrhizal plants in redaimed soil with a small soil thickness of 5cm and a great ore tailing thickness of 10cm are higher than those for non-mycorrhizal plants in reclaimed soil with a great soil thickness of 10 cm and a small ore tailing thickness of 5cm. Arbuscular mycorrhizae have an important role about counteracting the effect induced by a small thickness of covered soil. These results suggest that arbuscular mycorrhizae have an important role in the reconstruction of plants in the areas reclaimed with ore tailing.

The method for direct determination of phorate and the method for oxidation of phorate and its metabolites with potassium permanganate were developed .The degradation and residue of phorate in sugarcane and soil were determined by gas chromatography with flame photometry detector. The results showed that the half-life of phorate in soil was 11~12.3 d. Finally, phorate would not lead to residue contamination in sugarcane and residue accumulation in soil under normal applying condition.

With silicon concentration processed ,the biomass pyramided distinctly.Therefore silicon improved the cadmium stress tolerance of the Chinese cabbage.Silicon increased the soil pH and the content of soil available silicon significantly and effectly lowered the cadmium availability within the exogenous Cd stages 0.6,0.9mg/kg. Accordingly, the inhibitory effects on cadmium uptake and accumulation in Chinese cabbage shoots were prominent grown in the cadmium0.6,0.9mg/kg contaminated soil, with the concentration and the total cadmium decreased significantly compared with the non-silicon cadmium treatment. In conclusion,silicon can effectly alleviate the cadmium toxicity in Chinese cabbage shoots as a amendment at proper levels of 1.0g/kg.

Corn intercropping with soybean modified corn’s growing and reproducing law to some extends. The half-life of chlorpyrifos degradation in 1oam soil, clay and sand is 23.9d, 12.6d and 9.8d, It is easily degraded in the tested soils.

Results show that in rice season elevated CO2 decreased the CO2 emission from field and not significant response was found. The effect of root on soil respiration was observed mainly before repining stage with fluctuation. Before earing stage, new organic matter was decomposed, more and elevated CO2 accelerate decomposing of old organic matter more from middle to end. High N level can improve the decomposing of old organic matter. Considering the shortage in this study, the same and more work would be carried out in following.

The results were as follows. Rice harvested the highest grain yield with urea plus pig muck fertilization and intensification cultivation under no-tillage, while the highest grain yield with only urea fertilization and conventional cultivation under conventional tillage, but the difference of yield were not significant at both tillage patterns. Rice plants accumulated more nitrogen with only application of urea and conventional cultivation than that with only pig muck application and intensification cultivation, but its nitrogen grain production efficiency and nitrogen harvest index decreased. Compared between tillage patterns, nitrogen transportation efficiency and nitrogen agronomy efficiency under no-tillage were higher significantly than those under conventional tillage, but nitrogen recovery efficiency under conventional tillage was 127.95% more than that under no-tillage, the difference was significant.

The selective criterion of important agronomic characteristic is difficult problem because difference of geographical environment. In order to develop the selective standard and promote the accelerative generation breeding, ten cultivars released in Guanzhong Plain, Shaanxi Province were tested in three areas from 2002 to 2005. The results showed that agronomic characteristic was closely correlated with growth habit of varieties. The vernalization treatment is necessary for winter or half-winter wheat planted in Yuanmou. The variability of maturity, number of tiller, 1000-kernel-weight, and the resistance to stripe rust were more than that of height and number of ear per plant. The character of growth period, number of spikelet per spike, and number of kernel per ear were consistent among there areas. The variability of the other characteristic were little. A selective criterion developed in Yuanmou is the selected plants should be 8-20 tillers, 8 ears, no less than 19 spikes and 35 kernels per ear. For early or middle mature lines, 1000-kernal-weight should more than 48g and late mature lines more than 43g, while the height is 75cm for middle or late line, 60~70cm for early mature line. In Xining, the selected plant with midresistant to powdery mildew and immune to yellow rust should be 10 tillers, 7 ears, 20 spikes and 35 kernels per ear, 75cm height, the 12 days difference of growth period between selected plant and xiaoyan22 is bad.

But when the screw extrusion proportion is smaller than 50 percent and the liginite proportion exceed than 10 percent, the situation is changed slightly, the proportion of screw extrusion and lignite have less influence to above aspects. The 2 processes which proportion of lignite and screw extrusion is separately 45 percent plus 30 percent and 35 percent and 40 percent are close to the ck, can basically meet the requirements of tobacco breeding medium. At last, the feasibility of this substituted medium is also confirmed by the study.

Therefore, wheat production and development in Henan province affects the whole country seriously. This paper discussed the wheat development of Henan province since 1949 by using statistical data in combine with practice. The results showed that during the 58 years, the wheat planting area increased by 21.24%, the total output increased by 8.8 times, the yield increased by 7.1 times. Since 1999, the area and output of high-quality wheat has been increasing, and it hold 41.75% of total wheat area and 39.32% of wheat total yield in Henna province. In recent years, the wheat area of high yield and super high yield were increasing with the application of high productive varieties and improvement of cultural practice. However, the average yield in Henan province was less than 6000 kg/hm2, the yield existed big difference between various area, the biological potential was not realized, the productive investment was high, and the resources efficiency was low. According to those problems, the author suggested that the high productive practice should be popularized, the potential of wheat varieties should be realized, the nutrient efficiency should be improved, the research and management of high-quality wheat should be strengthened, the spreading and application of technology should be improved, increasing the wheat integration productivity.

Colony growth rate of Donglingbai was higher than other silage maize in earlier and middle growth stages, significantly, and it was the most important physiological foundation for higher biomass. It also reached 0.01 significance level. The experiment showed that when quantity of the potassium and phosphorus application were 315kg/hm2 and 270kg/hm2 , the yield of Mira could reach 24015kg/hm2 in the ecological conditions of the Sichuan Basin.

The result showed: No 13,6,14,11,4 could notably prolong permanent withering-time and psychology withering-time of Pelargonium hortorum and Vinca major. At the same time, covering sand was beneficial for holding water. It’s positive to promote the growth of Vinca major.

The content of chlorophyll and ascorbic acid dropped under the high temperature stress, and the chlorophyll content in leaves of Yuexuan No.1 dropped slower than Penncross, but the content of ascorbic acid in leaves of Yuexuan No.1 was significantly higher than Penncross; The content of MDA and proline increased, and the leaf MDA of Yuexuan No.1 was significantly lower than Penncross, but the proline content in leaves of Yuexuan No.1 was significantly higher than Penncross. The leaves were disposed in low temperature and the relative electrolyte leakage has been determined. The flowers were disposed in different low temperature gradient and then were observed whether the pistil turned brown. The results showed that the varieties with low relative electrolyte leakage of leaves appeared strong cold resistance. The descending order of cold resistance of different varieties was:‘Yunong2’>‘Hongxue’and‘Qiumi’>‘Yuhua’.This was different from the results those have been mensurated with dormiens branches. It suggested that it should be discreet when relative electrolyte leakage of branches was used to identify cold resistance of Peach.

The results showed that the branching pattern of lotus rhizome was monopodium and the branches were horizontally alternate with branching angle from 62.6°to 98.7, and was varying from different cultivars. The petiole height and diameter, the internode length and diameter of rhizome all increased gradually with the number of internodes increased, and that is a result different from other reports. The enlarged internode position on main rhizome can be used as one of the indicators of maturity. This paper also showed that there are obviously differences of clonal architectures among different cultivars and different field conditions.

The results showed that the seed germination percent decreased both in benzoic acid and ρ-hydroxybenzoic acid seed soaking treatments and the growth of hypocotyls and radicles in the seed-bud soaking treatments were inhibited significantly. The root vigor, height, diameter of stem, leaf area, shoot and root dry weight of the seedlings irrigated benzoic acid and ρ-hydroxybenzoic acid also decreaseded significantly. The inhibiting effects of benzoic acid and ρ-hydroxybenzoic acid increased with the concentrations. The results indicated that the benzoic acid and ρ-hydroxybenzoic acid had autotoxicity effects on watermelon seed germination and seedling growth.

For the past decades of induced mutation breeding by radiation, a good number of new fruit tree germplasms with fine biological and economical properties have been created both home and abroad. Meanwhile, radioactive materials, mutagens and induced measures have also been supplemented and improved. Researches on mutation of spur type, of early-maturity, of resistance and of non-seeds are further developing, too. At the same time, we believe that induced mutation breeding by radiation combined with regular cross breeding and in vitro culture is the direction of its future development. There are many successful examples in breeding of agricultural crop for the combination of induced breeding and haploid breeding, which provide useful reference for its application in fruit tree breeding.

Since 2000, rice stripe disease has reappeared in the middle and lower Yangtze River in China, and has been responsible for the greatest loss in rice production in this region. The progress in the current spread situation, the screening of the resistant resources, mapping of the resistant genes and the breeding of the resistant varieties to RSV was summarized in this paper. Finally, the prospect on the breeding of highly and persistently resistant varieties to RSV was also discussed.

The results showed that T. cinnabarinus was reared at 34℃ for a year, named as heat resistant strain (HR), its LC50 to abamectin increased to 2.1396 folds compared with the susceptible strain (Ss). T. cinnabarinus was selected with abamectin for 24 generation, named abamectin resistant strain (AR), when it was exposed to 48℃ for 1h, the mortality was approximately same as Ss, but the mortality of HR is significantly lower. Heat shock protein was detected by SDS-PAGE, the results showed that compared with the Ss, the expression of 28.5 and 26.8 kDa protein was increased. When AR was exposed to 43℃, the 98.6kDa expression was significant increased, while the 54.9kDa expression was the least. When T. cinnabarinus was exposed to 43℃, 75.9kDa expression in all strains was increased, especially for HR. The change of protein expression might be relative to resistance to high temperatures and abamectin.

The resistant index of Wanyou14 was 0.36 (the Control, Zhongyou821, was 0), and it was the best line in 14 rapeseeds in disease nursery. Ranger, resistant index 0.64, was most tolerant to disease development in all inoculated lines. Middle-maturing types and late-maturing types had better resistance than early-maturing types. The resistance to S.sclerotiorum of winter rapeseeds was better than spring rapeseeds. The spring rapeseeds were useful tolerant materials in breeding of winter rapeseeds. The lines of mid-late maturity were favorable to control disease damage.

After 12 generations of selections, Panonychus citri have developed 18.6-fold resistance to phoxim. By the Comparison of the properties of mixed function oxidase (MFO) between the resistant and susceptible strains and the inhibition of phoxim and PBO to MFO of P. citri, it was found that the activities, specific activity and the Michaelis–Menten constant (Km) of MFO in the resistant strain were significantly higher than those in susceptible strain, and the inhibition of phoxim to MFO in susceptible strain was significantly greater than that in resistant strain. There was a significantly linear relationship between the inhibition rate of MFO activity and the inhibition concentration of the Phoxim. However, the inhibition of PBO to MFO in resistant strain was significantly higher than that in susceptible strain. It was suggested that the development of resistance to phoxim in P. citri might be related to the rise of the MFO activity.

Compared with middle-poison Fipronil and low-poison Malathin , the result of effects is very close to the former ,and better than latter. Since Metarhizium, Matrine, Celangulins all belong to low-poison biocide and low-poison pesticide stemming from botany, we can use them as a substitute for organic phosphorus pesticide and cycloprothrin pesticide.

This paper discusses recent developments about appressorium of Colletotrichum. Topics include surface attachment of the conidia; appressorium formation; responsion to the environmental cues; appressorium penetration. The morphological development of appressorium is influenced by many factors. Generally, the rigid and hydrophobic surface is favored for appressorium formation. Genes involved in appressorium formation of Colletotrichum is summarized as well.

The results showed that, 20 days after single application, ethoprophos (1800 g ai/hm2) and triazophos (1500g) were the best with effect more than 97%, followed by abamectin (21.6g) and imidacloprid (120g) with effect more than 92%, and then fipronil (45g)，chlorpyrifos (1440g) and cyromazine (840g) with effect between 84%~90%, while the insecticide monosultap ((2700g) was only 52.5% effective. The results also indicated that when applying the mixture of ethoprophos (900g)+triazophos (750g), ethoprophos (600g)+triazophos (1050g), or ethoprophos (600g)+abamectin (15.2g), the controlling effect was 100%. It was concluded that triazophos at the dosage above 1500g can completely prevent the attack by Orseolia oryzae Wood Maspn.

The paper includes comparisons of the content of humic acids in three samples measured by two kinds of methods, the differences in two experiments processes, and the dose of samples. It also compared which concentration is better for K2Cr207 in the humic acids composition measurement. The results show that the content of humic acids in the weathered coal and cultivated horizon soil (limy cinnamon soils), measured by the volumetric method, is about 4 times of the result measured by the humic acids composition measurement, but they get the similar results when the sample is mined soil (castanozems). Moreover, the volumetric method is easier and more reliable than the humic acids composition measurement when the samples contain more humic acids. The paper has also measured the suitable doses of two samples in different experiments, and 0.4000 mol/L is the suitable concentration of K2Cr2O7 in the humic acids composition measurement.

Otherwise, the application of chemical fertilizers enhance the activities of saccharase and phosphatase, as while, to enhance its root vigors in the appalication of organic and conventional fertilizer. The activities of urease was the highest at the treatment with 72000 kg/hm2 mature of human (296.8 mgNH3-N/g DW), the activities of proteinase was the highest at the treatment with 36000 kg/hm2 mature of duck (5.15 mg NH2-N/g DW), the activities of cellulase was the highest at the treatment with 36000 kg/hm2 pig mature (0.869 mg glucose/g DW), the activities of saccharase and phosphatase were both the highest at the treatment with 1980 kg urea, 3600 kg/hm2 Ca3(PO4) and 1305 kg/hm2 K2SO4, having the value of 13.10 mgglucose/g DW and 44.46 mg P2O5/100g DW respectively. 【CONCLUSION】 The application of organic fertilizers increased the activities of urease, proteinase and cellulase in the rhizospheric soil and root vigors in the plant, which may promote the process of developmental growth and the formation of yield in Houttuynia cordata.

About soil nutrient, these soils have rich organic matter, total N and total P, average contents of them are 49.4g/kg, 2.92g/kg and 1.10g/kg, respectively, but lack total K, available K and available B, especially available B, the average content is only 0.15mg/kg, the soil samples that available B lack extremely occupy 97 percent of all in this investigation, the soil available B lack extremely. 【CONCLUSION】The soil K and B is lacking in Karst area of Chinese traditional medicinal materials planting in Guangxi, so it’s necessary to pay attention to the application of K and B in fertilization.

  Effects of Humic Acid (HA) on Tobacco Growth and Yield and Quality Wang Shu hui, Zhang Hong yan 2007, 23 (1):  288-288.  Abstract + ( 1206 )   PDF ( 205640KB )   ( 722 ) The field experiment was conducted in Yuliang County Kunming city in 2005. The results showed that HA promoted both the growth and yield of tobacco. The great yield was obtained at the 8g/plant HA rate, then followed by 12g/plant and the last one was 16g/plant. The leaf value and the ratio of up-middle grade was also increased and the order was 12g/plant >16g/plant >8g/plant >4g/CK. The 12g/plant HA rate got the good yield and value, but the content of sugar and starch was high in the leaf that was not good for the quality. The yield for the 16g/plant HA treatment was not increased any more whilst it decreased the leaf quality. For all aspects 8g/plant HA was recommended in the field. In summary, HA improved the tobacco growth and yield, but it not suggested that more HA means better.

Content of actinomycosis was increased by 2.40, 41.13 and 23.39 percent by using fully-fermented pig manure, oil cake or fully-fermented crop straw at 63d after planting respectively.

The influences of extraction temperature, pressure, time, particle size and CO2 flow on the extraction yield of volatile oil were investigated. The results of the experiments indicated that optimum extraction pressure, temperature, time, particle size and CO2 flow for the maximum extraction was 25MPa, 40℃, 4h, 40 mesh and 25 L/h respectively, the yield of SFE-CO2 extracts is 4.08%. The chemical constituents of extracts of Tamarindus indica L were determined by GC-MS. The relative contents of constitutes were determined by area normalizing method. 48 compounds were identified, amounting to total mass fraction 98.5%. The main compounds were 5-methyl-2(3H)-furanone, diethyl succinate, furfural, hexadecanoic acid, linolenic acid, 5-methylfurfural, oleic acid, linoleic acid, etc.

SAR emphasizes on plant’s ability to acquire integrated resistance. According to lots of research, SAR is ubiquitous and universal. Many studies confirm that, SA is an important induced factor of SAR, and is an important part of the signal conduction path by which plants activate a series of defensive feedback after it is infected by pathogen. In this paper, the author elaborated on the effect of SA exerted when inducing plants to produce resistance and the study progress of it. The Economic benefits of WRA application were also analyzed. The results showed that the effect of application method of mixing WRA with soil was better than that of mixing gel fully absorbing water with soil. Using SAP could obviously enhance soil water holding capacity, soil water content doubled compared with that of the control under severe drought condition. For newly transplanted trees, 10~30g per plant was the suitable rate, which could increased survival ratio of transplanting by 20% and promote the tip growth; while for bearing-grape trees, 100g~200g per plant was the suitable rate. When the application rate was 100g and 200g per plant, rape yield increased by 12.59% and 25.29%, respectively; sugar content increased by 9.92% and 6.01%, respectively; the profit increased by 2812.5RMB and 5625.0RMB per hectare, respectively. However, when the application rate was 100g and 200g per plant at fruit-swelling stage under drought stress with 75% of normal irrigation rate, rape yield increased by 38.46% and 66.62%, respectively; sugar content increased by 0.78%; the profit increased by 9967.5RMB and 16605.0RMB per hectare, respectively.

Nowadays, the mainland of China are lying the similar stage in development and facing the similar problems in agriculture, as well as historic Taiwan. So, whether their successful experiences of Leisure Agriculture could promote the development of New Rural Construction in mainland or not, becomes the subject of our study .With lots of references, we make use of the comparative method to find out their typical models of Leisure Agriculture, the great ideas in management of agriculture, and the problems of our agriculture. According to the national conditions, we are sure that Leisure Agriculture is really an ideal model to change our agricultural structure. The population of Leisure Agriculture, in which the features of agricultural resources are the most important, would promote greatly the harmony between the human and the nature, between the human and the society, between the towns and the countries in the course of New Rural Construction.
